Installed in Italy the first ever “open sky” and cryogen-free Upright MRI

“MROpen is set to redefine the paradigm of OPEN MRI”  declared Prof. Fischietti, Medical Director of “Centro La Diagnostica” in Catenanuova (Sicily), where the first ever “open sky” and cryogen free Upright MRI scanner, the MROpen, has just been installed in January 2010.


The total absence of any barrier between the patient and the surrounding environment makes MRI examinations relaxing and stress-free, completely eliminating all adverse reactions - due to patient claustrophobia or anxiety - which negatively affect MRI routine in conventional MRI scanners, including “traditionally open” (C-shaped) systems
